Course Description :
This course reviews the anatomy of the oral and peri-oral structures with emphasis on the trigeminal nerve. In addition to exploring the neurophysiology of nerve impulse transmission, it pays special attention to pharmacology of local anesthetic agents and various types and technical procedures of local anesthesia administration and their complications. It also includes general anesthesia and intra-venous sedation in oral surgery.
